A couple from Cambridgeshire UK scoop the 3rd biggest Euromillons Jackpot prize
Camelot are delighted that Angela and Dave Dawes have gone public as the 3rd largest UK Euromillions jackpot winners with a gobsmacking 101,203,600.70! The Cambridgeshire couple from Wisbech were the only winners on Friday 7th October - and are now the 703rd richest person in the UK.
Amazingly they were watching the TV Euromillions draw but had no idea that they had the winning numbers. They later checked their Lottery ticket and were totally amazed and in shock when they realised that they had all the correct numbers.
The winning ticket was purchased from WH Smith in Wisbech, and once David realised he had scooped the Jackpot he went to bed clutching the winning ticket. Of course neither he nor Angela slept a wink that night.
David works as a shift supervisor for a local company, while his partner of just 4 years gives her time to the British Heart Foundation on a voluntary basis. The couple will marry next year in Portugal, and don't expect to change these plans in the meantime.
David is a massive Chelsea fan, so his first luxury will be a Chelse season ticket and possibly a second home near the Chelsea grounds. He hopes he will convice his hero; Frank Lampard to pop round for a cup of tea! David is not intrested in purchasing tickest for a box, as he wants to be amongst the true fans when he watches his team play.
Having broken the news to some close friends, they agree that this win gives them an awesome amount of money. However they are excited and have pledged to make their friends and family millionaires, so they will be making a lot of people very happy.
"They are absolutely gobsmacked, amazed," she said. "Obviously it's exciting for us and exciting for them." The winning numbers were 18, 26, 34, 38 and 42. The Lucky Star numbers were 5 and 8.
